Principle

Do not default to solving only rich people’s problems; ordinary high-frequency problems can create enormous businesses when paired with great product and distribution.

Why it matters

Starting niche can carve an entry point, but the long-term vision can still be mass value: accessible, affordable, efficacious products many people can actually use and share.

How to use it

  • Ask whether the current bottleneck is market/customer learning or optimization.
  • Prefer fast learning when the decision is reversible or cheaply correctable.
  • Slow down when mistakes are existential: quality, financing, inventory risk, executive hires, or reputation-damaging moves.
